17/01/2011  Thanks for breaking down tons to SF. I never heard of the geometric mean density. I also feel the density is closer to the 120 lb/cf range. Its only a pea gravel. I usually find aggregate used for concrete or bituminous concrete are 140 to 160 range depending on the region and quarry.
